Joint meetings on the TNA Sectoral Working Groups were held in the conference hall of the Park Hotel in Bishkek on 19 and 20 April 2023. The sessions were divided into mitigation technologies for the Energy and Waste sectors and adaptation technologies for Agriculture and Water Resources.
The aim of the sessions was to present results of the technology prioritization process to a wider group of mostly government decision makers, explain the next steps in the project’s analysis and ultimate intended outcomes. The dialogue and debate between the TNA team and relevant Gov. agencies was constructive and documented in minutes submitted to UNEP-CCC.
The sessions concluded with formal approval of the TNA prioritization reports being issued by the members of the Sectoral Working Groups. This was followed by agreement over next steps regarding the submission of remainder project deliverables to the Sectoral Working Groups, ensuring technical-level buy-in and alignment with all relevant decision-making fora for Climate Action in the Kyrgyz Republic.
