Indonesia’s transition to renewable energy must be inclusive to succeed. Despite growing recognition of social equity in energy policy, gender gaps remain in access, participation, and decision-making.
The Socially Inclusive Sustainable Energy Transition (SISET) project supports local integration of gender equality in energy planning. This webinar will bring together government, development partners, and practitioners to discuss how gender-responsive approaches can be scaled from subnational to national planning, aligning with Indonesia’s NDC, Just Energy Transition Partnerships, and Regional Medium-Term Development Plan.
The session will highlight key challenges and opportunities, showcase inclusive strategies, and provide tools to support gender-responsive investments and policy frameworks. Target participants include government officials, NGOs, international organizations, and researchers working at the intersection of energy transition and gender equality.
