The national contractor will provide technical services to assess technology needs for climate change mitigation in the energy, transport, waste, agriculture, forestry, and industrial processes and product use (IPPU) sectors. The work will be carried out under the direct supervision of the TNA Coordinator and in close collaboration with the national TNA team and stakeholders.
Key Outputs
- Portfolio of Mitigation Technologies for prioritized sectors, including cross-sectoral technologies with adaptation co-benefits.
- TNA Report detailing prioritised technologies and rationale.
- Barrier Analysis and Enabling Framework (BAEF) report to identify barriers and propose enabling measures.
- Technology Action Plan (TAP) including project ideas and policy briefs for implementation and financing.
- Long List of Potential Technologies for future TNA cycles.
Responsibilities
- Organize stakeholder consultations and validation workshops.
- Identify and prioritize technologies through participatory processes.
- Prepare TNA, BAEF, and TAP reports using UNEP-provided templates.
- Ensure gender-responsive and socially inclusive analysis, aligned with the NDC Gender Action Plan.
- Include safeguards and financing considerations in outputs.
