This position supports the implementation of the Technology Needs Assessment process in Tunisia, specifically targeting the adaptation sectors (such as agriculture, water, and coastal zones). The TNA is a country-driven initiative under the UNFCCC that helps developing countries identify and prioritize climate technologies for both mitigation and adaptation. The expert will work closely with national stakeholders to assess technology options, identify barriers, and develop action plans to facilitate technology transfer and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments in adaptation sectors (e.g., agriculture, water, coastal zones).
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations and participatory workshops.
- Develop key deliverables: TNA report, Barrier Analysis and Enabling Framework (BAEF), and Technology Action Plan (TAP).
- Coordinate with national teams and the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre.
Requirements:
- Expertise in climate change adaptation and relevant sectors.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and participatory processes.
- Strong skills in technical writing, policy analysis, and project planning.
- Familiarity with UNFCCC frameworks and national climate strategies.
