Jigme is a manager within the UNFCCC’s Transparency Division, where he oversees the strategy and technical support provided to developing countries for climate reporting and NDC.
A meteorologist by training and former climate focal point for the Bhutanese government, he plays a key role in coordinating the Consultative Group of Experts (CGE) to build international capacity for transparency in climate action.
He led the secretariat team during the negotiations for Article 13 of the Paris Agreement, helping to establish the guidelines for the enhanced transparency framework.
