Lena Bratlie

Project Officer - Climate Technology

Lena Bratlie joined UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre in August 2026 and supports the development and implementation of climate adaptation and resilience initiatives, working closely with partners and stakeholders to turn knowledge into practical solutions and strengthen evidence-based climate action.

Lena brings experience from both international development and the public sector. She spent the last four years living in Uganda, working with UNCDF’s LoCAL Facility on locally led adaptation and subnational climate finance across East and Southern Africa. Prior to that, she worked in Danish municipalities on climate strategy and implementation, coastal protection, and environmental compliance. She is particularly passionate about applying an interdisciplinary approach to climate challenges, combining technical expertise with policy development and stakeholder collaboration.

Lena holds a Master’s degree in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
