Paul is a Project officer at UNEP-CCC and has joined the Technology-Transitions and System Innovation Team in August 2021. His work focuses on the promotion and upscaling of climate technologies that support the strengthening of resilient and sustainable societies in developing countries. Here, he has a special focus on water related topics. Paul is currently engaged in the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project, supporting countries with identifying relevant climate technologies, as well as building capacity to harness their full potential.
Paul holds a MSc. in Human Security from Aarhus University and a Bachelor in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. Throughout his studies, Paul specialised on international climate diplomacy and cooperation as well as just transition. In this regard, he previously gained work experience in Saudi Arabia and South Africa, working with the Danish and German government on renewable energy and water management projects.
Paul is fluent in German, English and Spanish and is conversant in Danish.
