Pedro holds a degree in Forestry Engineering and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Throughout his professional career, he has supported public authorities globally in the design and implementation of climate change adaptation policies and strategies. He currently supports the implementation of the CBIT-AFOLU+ GEF project, through which FAO provides technical support to countries seeking to strengthen their national reporting capacities under the UNFCCC Enhanced Transparency Framework. As Adaptation MEL and Transparency Expert, Pedro delivers capacity-building and institutional strengthening activities aimed at establishing robust adaptation planning processes and monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks.
