Article 6 carbon markets offer climate mitigation and sustainable development opportunities, but technical readiness remains a challenge. Readiness includes policies, infrastructure, and systems to enable transparent carbon credit trading.
The Supporting Preparedness in Article 6 Cooperation (SPAR6C) webinar series and its supporting materials will facilitate a sector-focused discussion about international carbon markets and Article 6, including national policies and strategies, project screening, finance, implementation and best practices.
It is developed around the needs of the industrial partners in Pakistan, but is open to all who are interested.
This webinar, the first in the series, gives an overview of carbon markets and Article 6, discusses integrity considerations and experiences from project development in Pakistan, tailored to industry needs. It is part of an upcoming series, which aims to enhance sectoral readiness by equipping stakeholders with practical knowledge to effectively engage in Article 6 cooperation and international carbon markets.
